Skudeneshavn: Walks, museums, the park and the ”old-town” are all within walking distance (ca. 800 metres). The old-town offers protected wooden architecture, which has hardly changed since the 1850’s. Take a historic stroll through the old Skudeneshavn and download a great application on your mobile phones called “Tilbakeblikk” – “Time Travel in Skudeneshavn”

Playground: Large, award-winning playground in the centre of Skudeneshavn.
Hikes: Marked tracks lead from the camp-site, through the hills, to Kopervik. Hiking trips suggestions.
Beach-life: We are situated only 800 meters from a beautiful beach and marina.
Angling: Shore based fishing is available close by.
Golf: Karmøy Golfclub 9 hole course is our closest neighbor.

Geocaching: The southern part of the island offers a large amount of treasures to search.
Vigsnes Grubemuseum. New York’s Statue of Liberty was made using copper from the Visnes mines.
The Vikinggården (viking village) and the Olav’s Church.
Shopping: Good shopping opportunities are available 40 km from Skudenes, on the mainland: Oasen Storsenter (mall), Amanda Storsenter (mall) and central Haugesund cater to all shopping needs.
Excursions: Day-trips to Utsira, Røvær and Feøy are very popular. These idyllic islands can be reached daily from Haugesund.
Longer trips: You can reach Stavanger by car via Ta Mortavika-Arsvågen / E39 – ferry in about 2 hours and 10 minutes. To the north to Bergen it takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes by car via Ta Halhjem-Sandvikvåg / E39 – ferry.
